COMMUNITY VENDORS:

Location: Plattsburgh City Beach

The Ausable River Association protects the ecological diversity of the Ausable River watershed, for its own sake and for the sake of the people who live, work, and play here. Our staff provide scientific expertise to communities, rebuild stream channel function, restore streamside habitat, and monitor trends in water quality. We bring our knowledge and technical expertise to other Adirondack watersheds, to inform river stewardship and foster collaboration and data sharing.

Our strength is our dedication to working in partnership with our communities. We rely on local knowledge, historical context, and rigorous field science. We work cooperatively with landowners, researchers, outdoor enthusiasts, municipalities, government agencies, and other nonprofits to conserve and restore the valued freshwater resources of the Ausable watershed and beyond.
