A day at the beach is even better with great food! We're excited to welcome outstanding food and beverage vendors to this year's 49th Annual Mayor's Cup Festival at Plattsburgh City Beach - including Rustic Pines and their infamous RP's Mobile Bar!
Whether you're enjoying family games, listening to live music, participating in friendly competitions, or simply relaxing along the beautiful Lake Champlain waterfront, be sure to stop by and enjoy some delicious local favorites:

Mr. Ding-A-Ling Ice Cream – Ice cream treats and frozen favorites for all ages.

Mayor’s Cup Kayak Paddle Outing
Time: 8:00am
Location: Plattsburgh City Beach (4 Beach Road)
What better way to celebrate summer in the North Country than joining the Town of Plattsburgh's Mayor's Cup Kayak Paddle? Boats will leave the Plattsburgh City Beach promptly at 8:00am. The paddle will last no more than two hours and the route and destinations will be determined by wind and weather. Register with the Town of Plattsburgh at 518-562-6860 (deadline to reserve is Tuesday, July 7th) and you can also inquire about renting a boat if needed (boat rentals are free of charge but available only on a first-come-first-served basis). Show your love for Lake Champlain and perhaps get a glimpse of the sailboats leaving the harbor to compete in the Mayor's Cup Regatta!

Frisbee Toss & More

Join Plattsburgh Rotary's NextGen Club as they host a frisbee toss competition and other fun in the sun games for kids.
Mayor's Cup 5k Run/Walk
Location: Plattsburgh City Beach

Kick off Mayor's Cup weekend with this Saturday morning race! This two-loop course will start and end at the Plattsburgh City Beach and will take place on the scenic Heritage Trail and Karen Fleury Bike Path (both trails are paved). Participants will receive a special Mayor’s Cup baseball cap.
Sand Sculpture Contest hosed by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

This year, NAMI is introducing a special theme: Grow Your Glow—a chance for participants to reflect personal growth and wellness. Whether you want to build, compete, or just enjoy the beautiful lakeside creations, we’d love for you to join us. Prizes will be awarded in each of three categories. Kid’s Fun Run
Location: Plattsburgh City Beach
Race Starts: 11:00AM

This popular event for kids 12 and under, includes a 1k fun run along the beach. All kids will receive a medal for participating.
2026 Mayor’s Cup Cornhole Tournament
Location: Plattsburgh City Beach
Time: Registration from 10:00-10:45AM
Bags will fly shortly thereafter. A Switcholio Round Robin is a social tournament format where individuals register as single players and get a new, randomly assigned partner for every round of the round robin. Players accumulate individual points based on their game scores, and at the end of the round-robin, these points are used to create a leaderboard and seed a final playoff bracket with higher point players drawing a lower point player as a partner. The format gives everyone from beginners to more advanced players a fun and casual way to work on their game. Partners are drawn randomly. You don’t need to come with a partner - just show up, play and have fun! Fee $20. Register in advance at https://share.
Line Dancing on the Beach Pavilion hosted by 1 Up Arcade and Nancy's Crew
