Joined the Plattsburgh AM Rotary Club in 1990, serving as Club President from 1999-2000.

After retiring, moved to Aiken, South Carolina in 2008.  Armed with the experiences of my law enforcement careers and memories of the North Country, decided to take up my pen (or in this case, the computer). Four years later, and with the help of Dee, friends, and the South Carolina’s Writers Association, published the first novel in the Marc LaRose Mystery Series, “Borderline Terror.” This story is about a Private Detective who takes an insurance assignment to look into the death of a patron at an upscale inn in Lake Placid. During the course of the investigation, Marc teams up with the Inn’s concierge (Sophie) and the two soon discover a plot to disrupt the village’s plans to host the 2027 Winter Olympics by terrorists who have been hired by a competing European City.

In the second book of the series, Southbound Terror, Marc teams up with a female Brossard Police Detective to look for a missing person who is the lead engineer for a Plattsburgh railcar manufacturer that has developed a high speed passenger train linking Montreal to New York City. This story involves international conspiracy, Montreal’s criminal underworld, and a foreign aggressor with plans to wreak havoc when the train reaches its intended destination in the U.S.
