Marina Events Schedule 

Remember when marinas were only for captains and their crew? Well, not anymore!
 
This year Sunrise Rotary is introducing exciting activities to entertain everyone on the afternoon of Mayor's Cup, Saturday, July 12, 2025. There is ample free parking around the marina area and the iconic Naked Turtle will be open and ready to serve. See the calendar of events below and there will also be cornhole set-up for play, hula hoops and more summertime fun on hand with live music all afternoon at the Plattsburgh City Marina (2 Dock Street).
 
2025 Parrots and Pirates Poker Run/Walk.
Dress-up like parrot, a pirate or anything Buffet, and feel the Margaritaville vibe! Registration and mandatory check-in is at The Naked Turtle from 2:00-3:00pm. The course begins and ends at the Plattsburgh marina area (plenty of free parking!) and the featured stops in Plattsburgh's historic downtown include Busters, Bobby’s, Hobie’s, Olive Ridley’s. The event officially begins at 3:00pm and the fee is $35.  Enjoy a free, live outdoor concert at the end of the event. Click HERE to register.

2025 Mayor’s Cup Paddle Party.
Location: Plattsburgh City Marina
Time: 4:00pm boats in the water
The Town of Plattsburgh knows that Mayor’s Cup is all about celebrating Lake Champlain and that is why this year they are hosting the first annual Mayor’s Cup Paddle Party. Kayaks and canoes will leave the small boat launch at the Plattsburgh City Marina promptly at 4:00pm. The paddle will last no more than one-hour and the course will be determined by wind and weather. Paddlers are encouraged to dress in festive attire (boats too!) and prizes will be given for creativity. Afterwards, paddlers can enjoy live outdoor music at the Plattsburgh City Marina and stay for the Mayor’s Cup Awards Ceremony that begins at 6:00pm. Register with the Town of Plattsburgh at 518-562-6860 and you can also inquire about renting a boat if needed (boat rentals are free of charge but available only on a first-come-first-served basis). The event is sure to be a hit with paddlers and spectators alike! Show your love for Lake Champlain! Free Registration.

Enjoy live music from the legendary local band Damaged Goods!

2025 Mayor’s Cup Regatta
The competitive races begin at 10:30am in three divisions – Jib & Main, Racing, and Multihull with prizes for all divisions. The sailing courses are set the morning of the race in Cumberland Bay on Lake Champlain. Registration is free. Advance registration is required. Register for the Mayor's Cup Regatta.
 
Spirit of Ianelli and Mayor’s Cup Regatta Awards
Location: Plattsburgh City Marina
Time: 6:00pm
Congratulate this year’s ‘Spirit of Ianelli’ Award honoree and give a big round of applause to all the captains and their crew who competed in the Regatta.

There will not be fireworks as part of this event. 
There is no rain date, wish for sun!
 
The Mayor's Cup Regatta & Festival is organized by the Sunrise Rotary Club of Plattsburgh. We are a VOLUNTEER organization.
